Christian Health Association Sierra Leone

CHASL GENERAL MEETING

On Friday, July 28th, CHASL held its General Meeting at the Council of Churches Sierra Leone (CCSL) Conference Hall in Freetown. CHASL, the Christian Health Association Sierra Leone, is a Non-Governmental, not-for-profit, interdenominational health-coordinating agency, operating since 1975. It has over 43 active member health facilities spread across the country, serving deprived rural communities with scarce public health facilities. In fact, CHASL member health facilities provide 30% of the health services in Sierra Leone, making it the country’s second-largest service provider.

The purpose of the meeting was to convene the General Assembly, make important decisions regarding the Secretariat, and inform Church Leaders about past and future activities and the overall status of the Secretariat. As an agency, CHASL exists to promote Christian health services by embodying the spirit of Christian love and service to those in need, following the life, teachings, and example of our Lord Jesus Christ, through providing affordable, high-quality, and accessible healthcare services for the people of Sierra Leone.
